TMF a PERFORMANCE DAYS Monaco di Baviera e Functional Textiles Shanghai 2026

Two international events, two continents, one opportunity to discover what’s next in cycling

Autumn 2026 will take TMF to two key international events dedicated to textiles, technologies and innovation.

On 13–14 October 2026, we will be exhibiting at PERFORMANCE DAYS Munich. In November, the focus will shift to China: on 18–19 November 2026, TMF will attend Functional Textiles Shanghai by PERFORMANCE DAYS.

Two events that bring together designers, Product Managers, R&D teams, material specialists and companies involved in developing the next generation of technical apparel. For TMF, they are an opportunity to meet partners and brands from different markets to exchange ideas about the industry’s evolving needs.

This year, there is also a particularly relevant common thread connecting the two events: the increasingly important role of materials research, innovation and sustainability in the future of high-performance materials.

First stop: PERFORMANCE DAYS Munich

The first appointment will be PERFORMANCE DAYS Munich on 13–14 October 2026, the international sourcing fair dedicated to functional fabrics and accessories.

The event will take place at Messe München, Halls A4, A5 and A6. PERFORMANCE DAYS is an international meeting point for designers, Product Managers, purchasing managers and material specialists looking for new solutions for future collections.

For TMF, this means meeting professionals who work every day on the same questions that guide our own development process: which materials can improve performance? How can comfort evolve? And how can innovation respond to the changing expectations of brands and cyclists?

TMF will be at Booth H17.

Ecosustainable Materials at the Centre of PERFORMANCE DAYS 2026

There is another reason why this year’s Munich edition is particularly relevant to TMF.

The event will explore the evolution of ecosustainable innovation across the textile chain, with particular attention to next-generation fibers and materials.

These themes closely reflect the direction in which material research is evolving.

At TMF, this evolution has long been part of our approach to product development. We began introducing more responsible materials as early as 2010, and today we continue to explore new ways of designing cycling pads while maintaining a strong focus on comfort, high technical performance and environmental sustainability.

The goal is to understand where new materials can provide real value within the product and how they can be effectively integrated into its construction.

This is also why events such as PERFORMANCE DAYS are important: they create a space where research, materials, technologies and the needs of brands can come together.

From Munich to Shanghai

After the European event, TMF will head to Asia.

Functional Textiles Shanghai by PERFORMANCE DAYS, originally scheduled for September, will take place on the new dates of 18–19 November 2026 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center.

The event is the Chinese edition of the PERFORMANCE DAYS network and is dedicated to materials, fabrics, accessories and solutions with a strong focus on technology and innovation. It is aimed particularly at brands, designers, R&D professionals and purchasing managers looking for high-performance functional materials.

The theme chosen for the 2026 edition, “From Nature, For Future,” is closely connected to one of the industry’s key areas of development: finding new ways to combine performance and material innovation, with an environmental responsibility.

For TMF, this is a particularly relevant context.

Research into new materials is an integral part of a cycling pad development. Comfort, breathability, moisture management and long-lasting performance depend on the careful selection and combination of different components. At the same time, the search for more responsible alternatives is opening up new possibilities for developing products capable of meeting both technical and environmental requirements.

Functional Textiles Shanghai therefore represents an important opportunity to continue this conversation with brands and professionals from the Asian market.

TMF will be at Hall 3 – Booth C37.

Two Events, One Direction

Munich and Shanghai represent two different markets, but both events point in the same direction.

Materials research is becoming increasingly central in the development of technical apparel. Performance remains essential, while sustainability, traceability and new material sources are becoming increasingly important aspects of the R&D process.

For a company specialized in cycling pads, being part of this conversation means continuing to look ahead.

TMF’s work is built on the integration of biomechanics, materials research, technology, prototyping and testing. International events provide an opportunity to share this expertise, but also to listen: to understand how brands are evolving, which challenges Product Managers and Product Designers are facing and which requirements will shape cycling collections in the coming seasons.

This dialogue is an essential part of innovation.
