Michele discusses TMF’s cycling revolution

In a highly competitive world where every detail can influence the final result, TMF has continuously exceeded the limits of innovation in cycling pad design. Today, we are pleased to speak with Michele Frezza, TMF’s Head of Research and Development, who plays a crucial role in creating innovative pads that make a lasting impact on the cycling industry.

In our Research Center, we conduct tests both indoor and on the road to measure and analyze various factors like pressure points, vibration impact, material warming and moisture control. By using advanced measurement tools and thanks to the crucial feedback from our testers, we gather data that help us to optimize our products’ design.

Transforming function into performance: Michele and TMF chamois

Thanks to his passion for cycling, which he has nurtured since a young age, and his experience in research and development, Michele has become a leader in innovation and design at TMF.

With his true mastery of materials and in-depth knowledge of market trends, Michele ensures that TMF continues to be a benchmark in pad innovation.
Michele recalls the early challenges: “At the beginning of my journey with TMF, the chamois was considered merely a functional component. Our ambition was to transform it into a high-performance tool.”  This vision drove TMF to explore innovative materials and cutting-edge technologies to enhance comfort and reduce muscle fatigue.

TMF pads: road test

Michele continues, “Observing our chamois in action has enabled us to further refine our technologies. The challenges cyclists face have guided us in developing high-performance pads that are now industry benchmarks”.

Research and Development: The Engine of Innovation

TMF’s research and development approach is both rigorous and innovative. “Each new pad prototype is tested to ensure that the benefits are both genuine and measurable”, says Michele.

Sustainability and performance

TMF stands out for integrating sustainability into its research and development process. “We do not focus solely on performance; we also strive to reduce the environmental impact of our products. The use of eco-friendly materials and the optimization of production processes to minimize environmental impact are key elements in the development of our chamois” says Michele.

Each cyclist is unique: TMF’s approach to reinventing personalization

“Every cyclist is unique and the pad should adapt to them, not the other way around” says Michele. This philosophy has led to the development of chamois that perfectly meet the needs of cyclists, optimizing both comfort and performance.
